Spicy Korean BBQ Beef & Kimchi Rice Bowl

A flavorful and spicy Korean-inspired rice bowl with tender BBQ beef and tangy kimchi.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup kimchi, chopped
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 3 tbsp Korean BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a bowl, mix beef with Korean BBQ sauce, gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and minced garlic. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated beef for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  3. Divide cooked rice into bowls. Top with the cooked beef, chopped kimchi, and sliced green onions. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
