Shrimp Grilled Gourmet Cheese

A delicious twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich with succulent shrimp and gourmet cheese.

For the Crust:

  • 8 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 slices gourmet cheese (such as Gruyere or Brie)
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Season shrimp with garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook in a skillet over medium heat until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Set aside.
  2. Butter one side of each bread slice. Place two slices butter-side down on a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Layer cheese and cooked shrimp on the bread, then top with the remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
  4. Grill until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula.
  5. Remove from heat, let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
