Molten Lava Cake – Gooey, Rich & Irresistible!

A decadent chocolate dessert with a gooey, molten center that oozes out when cut into.

For the Crust:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four ramekins and dust with cocoa powder.
  2. Melt butter and chocolate together in a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth.
  3. Whisk in powdered sugar, then eggs and egg yolks one at a time. Stir in vanilla.
  4. Fold in flour and salt until just combined. Divide batter evenly among ramekins.
  5. Bake for 12-14 minutes until edges are set but centers are still soft. Let cool for 1 minute.
  6. Run a knife around edges, invert onto plates, and serve immediately.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
