Healthy Chinese Ground Beef & Cabbage Stir Fry

A quick and nutritious stir fry featuring ground beef, cabbage, and savory Chinese-inspired flavors.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 4 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1 medium carrot, julienned
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
  3. Stir in garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add cabbage and carrot. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until vegetables soften.
  5. Pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Toss to coat evenly.
  6. Cook for another 2 minutes, then garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
