For the Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add melted butter, eggs, coffee, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  4. Pour half the batter into the prepared pan. Drizzle caramel sauce over the batter, then top with remaining batter.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool slightly, then drizzle with warm heavy cream for extra richness.
