Decadent Dark Chocolate Cheesecake

A rich and creamy dark chocolate cheesecake with an Oreo cookie crust, perfect for special occasions.

For the Crust:

  • 24 Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 oz dark chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Combine crushed Oreos and melted butter, press into a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in sour cream.
  3. Stir in melted dark chocolate, vanilla, cocoa powder, and salt until fully combined.
  4. Pour filling over crust and smooth top. Bake for 55-60 minutes until edges are set but center jiggles slightly.
  5. Turn off oven, crack door, and let cheesecake cool in oven for 1 hour. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
