For the Crust:
1 box chocolate cake mix
1 1/4 cups water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 large eggs
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup chopped peanuts (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions using water, oil, and eggs. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
While the cake is still warm, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake.
In a microwave-safe bowl, heat peanut butter and sweetened condensed milk for 30 seconds, then stir until smooth. Pour the mixture over the cake, spreading evenly to fill the holes.
Let the cake cool completely. In another bowl, melt chocolate chips with heavy cream in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Spread the ganache over the cake.
Sprinkle with chopped peanuts if desired. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
