For the Crust:

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup chocolate syrup
  • 2 cups chocolate pudding
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup chocolate shavings

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, water, oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  4. Remove cake from oven and let cool slightly. Use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake.
  5. Pour chocolate syrup over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes. Let cool completely.
  6. Spread chocolate pudding evenly over the cake, then top with whipped cream.
  7. Sprinkle chocolate shavings on top. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
