Crockpot French Onion Meatloaf with Melted Swiss Cheese

A savory twist on classic meatloaf with French onion flavors and gooey Swiss cheese topping.

For the Crust:

  • 1.5 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 packet French onion soup mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup caramelized onions
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, French onion soup mix, eggs, milk, Parmesan, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.
  2. Shape mixture into a loaf and place in a greased crockpot.
  3. Top with caramelized onions and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
  4. During last 15 minutes of cooking, place Swiss cheese slices on top to melt.
  5. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
