Creamy Jalapeño Popper Chicken Skillet

A spicy, creamy, and cheesy chicken skillet inspired by jalapeño poppers.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 3 jalapeños, seeded and diced
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add cream cheese, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and diced jalapeños. Stir until melted and smooth.
  4. Return chicken to the skillet, spooning the creamy mixture over the top. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon and breadcrumbs.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes until chicken is cooked through and topping is golden.
