Creamed Cabbage and Ground Beef Casserole

A hearty and comforting casserole combining tender cabbage and savory ground beef in a creamy sauce.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium head cabbage, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onion and garlic until softened. Add chopped cabbage and cook until slightly tender.
  4. Stir in the cooked ground beef, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and paprika. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
