Chocolate Caramel Dump Cake

An easy and decadent dessert with layers of chocolate, caramel, and cake mix that bakes into a rich, gooey treat.

For the Crust:

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups water

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Pour the caramel sauce evenly over the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the dry chocolate cake mix evenly over the caramel layer.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, covering as much as possible.
  5. Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans (if using) evenly over the top.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes or until the top is set and slightly crispy.
  7. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
