Chinese Chicken Cabbage Stir-Fry

A quick and flavorful stir-fry with tender chicken, crisp cabbage, and a savory sauce.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb boneless chicken breast, sliced thin
  • 4 cups shredded cabbage
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat.
  2. Add chicken and stir-fry until no longer pink, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add cabbage and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until slightly softened.
  5. Return chicken to the pan. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Toss to combine.
  6. Cook for another 2 minutes until everything is well-coated and heated through. Garnish with green onions.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
