Cheesy Sloppy Cheeseburger Pasta

A hearty and cheesy pasta dish that combines the flavors of a sloppy joe and a cheeseburger in one comforting meal.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 8 oz elbow pasta, uncooked
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup pickles, chopped (optional)
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until onions are translucent.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, cook the elbow pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the meat sauce. Stir to combine.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Cover and let it melt for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped pickles and green onions if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
