Cheesy Hamburger Casserole Bake

A hearty and comforting casserole with ground beef, pasta, and plenty of melted cheese.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, brown ground beef with onion and garlic over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, cook macaroni according to package directions until al dente. Drain.
  5. Combine cooked macaroni with the beef mixture. Transfer to the prepared baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheeses evenly over the top.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
