Cheesy Cheeseburger Orzo Skillet

A one-pan wonder combining the flavors of a cheeseburger with creamy orzo pasta.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup diced pickles
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Brown ground beef with onions in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add orzo, beef broth, mustard, ketchup, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  3. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until orzo is tender, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheese until melted.
  5. Top with diced pickles before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
