Cheesy BBQ Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese Skillet

A hearty and indulgent dish combining tender pulled pork, creamy mac & cheese, and smoky BBQ sauce in one skillet.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups cooked pulled pork
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour to create a roux, cooking for 1-2 minutes until golden.
  3. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until slightly thickened.
  4. Reduce heat to low and stir in 2 cups of cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Add cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce, stirring to coat evenly.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix pulled pork with BBQ sauce. Spoon pork mixture over the mac & cheese in the skillet.
  7. Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top. Cover and cook on low for 5 minutes until cheese is melted.
  8. Serve hot, optionally garnished with chopped green onions or additional BBQ sauce.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
