Breakfast Grilled Cheese with Eggs

A delicious twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich, featuring a perfectly cooked egg inside for a hearty breakfast.

For the Crust:

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place two slices of bread, buttered side down.
  3. Add a slice of cheese to each bread slice in the skillet, then carefully crack an egg on top of each cheese slice.
  4. Season the eggs with salt and pepper, then top with another slice of cheese and the remaining bread slices, buttered side up.
  5. Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese starts to melt, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
