For the Crust:
2 cups cooked brisket, shredded
1/4 cup bourbon
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
4 frozen waffles, toasted
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tbsp butter, softened
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine shredded brisket, bourbon, maple syrup, and Dijon mustard. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
Butter one side of each waffle. Place two waffles butter-side down on the skillet.
Divide the cheese between the two waffles, then top with the bourbon-maple brisket mixture.
Place the remaining waffles on top, butter-side up. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
Remove from heat, let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
