Big Mac Tater Tot Casserole

A delicious twist on the classic Big Mac, featuring layers of seasoned ground beef, special sauce, cheese, and crispy tater tots.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced pickles
  • 1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat.
  4. In a small bowl, mix Thousand Island dressing, mustard, ketchup, and relish to make the special sauce.
  5. Spread the cooked beef mixture in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Drizzle with half of the special sauce.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the beef, then top with shredded lettuce and diced pickles.
  7. Arrange tater tots in a single layer over the top. Drizzle with remaining special sauce.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until tater tots are golden and crispy. Serve hot.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
