Big Mac Salad

A deconstructed Big Mac in salad form with all the classic flavors.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, chopped
  • 1/2 cup diced dill pickles
  • 1/4 cup diced white onion
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it into small pieces. Drain excess fat.
  2. Season the beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in mustard and set aside to cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, layer chopped lettuce, seasoned beef, pickles, onions, and cheese.
  4. Drizzle with Thousand Island dressing and sprinkle with sesame seeds if using.
  5. Toss gently before serving or serve layered as a deconstructed salad.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
