Bacon Cheeseburger Rice

A delicious one-pot meal combining the flavors of a bacon cheeseburger with rice for a hearty and satisfying dish.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup white rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
  4. Stir in the rice, beef broth, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes or until rice is tender.
  6. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and reserved bacon until cheese is melted. Serve hot.
