White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

A creamy and cheesy lasagna with tender chicken and a rich white sauce.

For the Crust:

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken breast

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until tender. Stir in flour until smooth.
  3. Gradually add chicken broth and milk, stirring constantly until sauce thickens. Season with salt, basil, and oregano.
  4. In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer 3 lasagna noodles, 1/3 of the chicken, 1/3 of the sauce, and 1/3 of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Repeat layers twice.
  5. Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
