Salted Caramel Banana Bread – The Sweet & Salty Hug You Need!

For the Crust:

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt for topping

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas, melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  4. Pour half the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Drizzle half the salted caramel sauce over the batter. Swirl gently with a knife. Repeat with remaining batter and caramel.
  5. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Sprinkle with sea salt while still warm.
