Salted Caramel Apple Mini Pies

Delicious mini pies filled with spiced apples and drizzled with salted caramel for the perfect sweet and salty treat.

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 45 tbsp ice water
  • 3 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Gradually add ice water, 1 tbsp at a time, until dough comes together. Roll out dough and cut into circles to fit mini pie tins.
  3. In another bowl, toss apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Spoon filling into pie crusts.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until crust is golden and apples are tender. Let cool slightly.
  5. Drizzle with salted caramel sauce before serving.

Notes
