One-Pot Zesty Steak Pasta

A quick and flavorful one-pot pasta dish featuring tender steak, zesty seasonings, and al dente pasta.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add steak slices and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, sauté onion and garlic until softened, about 2 minutes.
  3. Add pasta, beef broth, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and simmer for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente.
  5. Return the cooked steak to the pot and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
  6. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
