One-Pot Smoky Honey BBQ Steak Pasta

A hearty, smoky pasta dish with tender steak and a sweet honey BBQ sauce, all cooked in one pot for easy cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add sliced steak and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add onion and bell pepper. Cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
  3. Stir in pasta, beef broth, BBQ sauce, honey, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 12-15 minutes or until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.
  5. Return the cooked steak to the pot and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
