Moist Chocolate Peanut Butter Poke Cake – Decadence in Every Bite!

A rich chocolate cake soaked with sweetened condensed milk and topped with creamy peanut butter frosting for an indulgent dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions (using water, oil, and eggs). Pour batter into the prepared dish and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  3. While the cake is still warm, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake. Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the cake, allowing it to soak into the holes.
  4. In a medium bowl, beat peanut butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Spread the peanut butter frosting over the cooled cake.
  5. Sprinkle with mini chocolate chips if desired. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
