For the Crust:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 package (32 oz) frozen tater tots
- 4 slices American cheese, quartered
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
- 8 dill pickle slices
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Arrange tater tots in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy.
- While tater tots bake, mix ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Form into 16 small patties (about 1 tbsp each).
- Cook patties in a skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
- Place a quarter slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
- Mix ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise in a small bowl to make the sauce.
- Assemble by placing a cheeseburger patty between two tater tots. Add a dab of sauce, a pinch of lettuce, and a pickle slice.
