Million Dollar Lasagna

A rich and indulgent lasagna loaded with layers of meaty sauce, creamy cheeses, and tender pasta.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 9 lasagna noodles, cooked
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat. Drain excess fat and stir in marinara sauce.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, 1 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, basil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Layer 3 lasagna noodles in a 9×13-inch baking dish. Spread half the meat sauce, then half the cheese mixture. Repeat layers.
  5. Top with remaining noodles, meat sauce, and 1 cup mozzarella cheese.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake 5 more minutes until bubbly.
