Meaty Texas Trash Dip

A hearty, cheesy, and spicy dip loaded with ground beef, beans, and cream cheese—perfect for game day or gatherings.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (16 oz) can refried beans
  • 1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and garlic powder. Remove from heat.
  4. In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, refried beans, diced tomatoes with green chilies, and sour cream until well combined.
  5. Fold in the cooked ground beef and half of the shredded cheeses.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with remaining cheese.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and cheese is melted.
  8. Serve warm with tortilla chips.
