Hot Sausage Beer Cheese Dip

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb hot Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup beer (lager or ale)
  • 1/2 cup diced green onions
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Tortilla chips or pretzels for serving

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and crumbled. Drain excess fat.
  2. Reduce heat to low and add cream cheese, stirring until melted and combined with the sausage.
  3. Gradually stir in cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses until fully melted.
  4. Pour in the beer and mix well. Add garlic powder and smoked paprika, stirring to combine.
  5. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the dip is smooth and heated through. Stir in green onions.
  6. Serve warm with tortilla chips or pretzels.
