Refreshing Peach Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 46 lemons)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 4 cups filtered water (divided)
  • Ice cubes for serving

Instructions

  1. In a blender, puree the sliced peaches until smooth. If desired, strain through a fine mesh sieve for a silkier texture.
  2. Juice the lemons until you have about 1 cup of fresh lemon juice.
  3. In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup of water with the sugar over medium heat until dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.
  4. In a large pitcher, combine the peach puree, lemon juice, cooled sugar-water mixture, and remaining 3 cups of cold water. Stir well.
  5. Serve over ice in tall glasses and garnish with mint leaves or lemon slices if desired.
