Garlic Butter Steak & Potato Skillet

A hearty and flavorful one-pan meal featuring juicy steak, crispy potatoes, and rich garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1.5 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1.5 lbs baby potatoes, halved
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add potatoes and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and tender.
  2. Push potatoes to one side of the skillet. Add steak cubes to the empty space and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  3. Reduce heat to low. Add butter, garlic, rosemary, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir everything together until butter melts and coats the steak and potatoes. Cook for 1 more minute.
  4. Remove from heat and let rest for 2 minutes before serving.
