For the Crust:

  • 12 oz bowtie pasta
  • 1 lb ground Italian beef
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground Italian beef over medium heat, breaking it into small pieces. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the marinara sauce to the skillet with the beef and stir to combine. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat to low and add the Velveeta cheese cubes and heavy cream. Stir until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is creamy.
  5. Season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until evenly coated with the sauce.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
