Creamy Pepper Jack Chicken & Sausage Pasta

A spicy and creamy pasta dish with tender chicken, smoky sausage, and melted pepper jack cheese.

For the Crust:

  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, diced
  • 12 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced chicken and cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add sliced sausage to the skillet and cook for another 3-4 minutes until lightly browned.
  4. Reduce heat to low. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
  5. Gradually add shredded pepper jack cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
  6. Season with garlic powder, paprika, cayenne, salt, and black pepper.
  7. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until evenly coated with the sauce.
  8. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until heated through, then serve immediately.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
