Brown Sugar Bourbon Glazed BBQ Meatballs

Juicy meatballs coated in a sweet and smoky brown sugar bourbon BBQ glaze, perfect for appetizers or a main dish.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into 1-inch meatballs.
  3. Place meatballs on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
  4. Meanwhile, in a saucepan over medium heat, combine BBQ sauce, bourbon, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and smoked paprika. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Toss the cooked meatballs in the glaze until fully coated. Serve warm.
