Avocado, Mozzarella, and Tomato Grilled Cheese

A delicious twist on the classic grilled cheese featuring creamy avocado, fresh mozzarella, and juicy tomatoes.

For the Crust:

  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each bread slice and sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Layer mozzarella, avocado, and tomato slices between the bread slices with the buttered sides facing out.
  4. Grill each sandwich for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  5. Remove from heat, slice, and serve immediately.
